To apply for the post of Assistant Professor (Dental Specialties):
Must possess BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognized Indian University.
Must have completed MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) / Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in the respective specialty, recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
Senior Residency is not required for Dental Specialties under this notification.
Selected candidates will be appointed in the 7th UGC Pay Scales, as per G.O.Ms.No.22 HM&FW (A1) Dept., dated 01.03.2021:
Salary Range: ₹68,900 – ₹2,05,500 per month (excluding allowances).
Additional benefits will be applicable as per Andhra Pradesh State Government norms.
OC (Open Category): Maximum 42 years
EWS/SC/ST/BC Candidates: Maximum 47 years
Physically Handicapped (PwD): Maximum 52 years
Ex-Servicemen: Maximum 50 years

Only local candidates of Andhra Pradesh are eligible for Direct Recruitment.
Candidates who studied Class 4 to Class 10 in Andhra Pradesh OR those who migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh within 3 years of state bifurcation (as per GO.Ms.No.132 & 133, dated 13.06.2016) will be treated as local candidates.
Residence certificates without these GOs will not be accepted.
The selection procedure will differ for Direct Recruitment (DR) and Lateral Entry (LE) candidates.
Selection will be based on Merit + Rule of Reservation, with a maximum of 100 Marks:
75 Marks – Based on qualifying degree (MDS/DNB) marks.
10 Marks – Weightage for years since completion of PG.
5 Marks – Additional weightage for PG completed from Central Institutions.
15 Marks – Service weightage for Government Contract Service (Tribal, Rural, Urban postings, and COVID-19 duties).
Only in-service Dental faculty / CAS working in AP DME, APVVP, DPHFW are eligible.
Candidates must be approved probationers and free from disciplinary charges.
Selection will be made based on seniority and merit lists issued by respective authorities.
