TeleMANAS is a flagship mental health project launched by the Government of India to provide tele-counseling and psychiatric consultations across the country, especially in underserved regions. The project aims to bridge the treatment gap in mental healthcare by integrating tier-2 level psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and technology.
The selected Junior Consultant will be working under this revolutionary initiative, providing both clinical services and research input.
The selected candidate will:
Assist and support the Senior Consultant in all functions.
Provide specialist audio/video psychiatric consultations across assigned states and union territories.
Take up clinical, research, and academic responsibilities under the designated consultant psychiatrist.
Supervise the Mental Health Professionals (MHPs) and lay counselors in the project.
Guide Persons With Mental Illness (PWMI) and users of the TeleMANAS services.
Develop manuals, modules, and SOPs for effective service delivery.
Conduct and support scientific research in the field of tele-mental health.
MD in Psychiatry or an equivalent recognized qualification in Psychiatry.
Experience in Telemedicine, Tele-training, or Digital Psychiatry.
Clinical and research exposure with interdisciplinary teams.
Indexed publications in scientific journals related to mental health or telemedicine.
